This incident took place in Anantaour Rural on November 12th. PCC Chief Raghuveera Reddy has reached the State Bank of India along with party cadre. Two-Town CI Subhakumar, SI Kranthi Kumar and SI Janardhan has reached the spot along with constables. Protest led to traffic issues and Cops swung into action to streamline it.  

At this point, A Man who has come to State Bank parked his two wheeler in the middle of the road. SI Janardhan asked him to park it properly so that no one will face any problems. However, He didn’t pay heed to the advise. The same person appeared during the dharna again. When SI Janardhan advised him to stay aside, He manhandled the Cop. Soon, SI Kranthi Kumar took him into custody. CIs Subha Kumar and Gorantla Madhav alerted Special Party police immediately. Cops have beaten him in the presence of public, made him get into the jeep and took him to the two-town police station. 

During police interrogation, The Man identified himself as Madhava Reddy. He is a native of Kanchennagaripalle in Kamalapuram, Kadapa. He confessed to have beaten up SI out of frustration as he wasn’t able to complete his work in bank since 3 days.

Netizens found fault with the cruel behavior of Cops in a public place. On the other hand, SP Rajasekhar Babu took the incident seriously as Madhava Reddy is a Central Government employee. He ordered in-charge DSP Narsingappa to probe the incident and submit a detailed report.
